I don't think force in and of itself can exist. As in a one way force. I think there needs to be resistence involved. In another post i discuss the fact that everything is energy. We don't know what energy is, but only its effects. So, energy, whatever it is, is fundamental to everything. And in order to be energy it must be energetic and the only way i can see that it could be energetic is by being attracted to and repelled by itself at the same time. And this a/r dynamic manifests itself throughout the universe.

Contemplating on the fundamental principle of all, I realized last night that force is the fundamental principle. You are force, I am force and anything between us is force. From the sub-atomic levels to intra-cellular levels of living organisms and all their functions, including their thoughts and desires, and at all ‘macro’ levels, including galaxy levels, only force is present and active.
The only quality of force is to exert (and thereby constantly influence or change or transform). (Nishkarma does not seem possible and ‘unchangeability’ also seems not possible!)
Hunger is exertion of force, pain is exertion of force and pleasure is exertion of force. The all pervading principle is just force. There is nothing but force.
I wonder whether when force causes repulsion, the particles and waves (which are themselves just sources and recipients of force) are simply assumed to be of same charges and when it causes attraction, they are simply assumed to be of opposite charges. Are charges real?
But ‘charges’ are also force. It all seems to be force (s?) acting on each other (meaning acting on itself) creating the myth of time (which is movement in space) and space. Time and space being analogous, there is only space. Space seems nothing but (field of) force.
Even though force seems to have dual behavior (attraction and repulsion), my intuition tells me that the duality of force is a myth though apparently particles and (?) waves (particles and waves themselves defined as sources of force and recipients of force) are moved away from each other or towards each other by the force they exert on each other, in addition to ‘environmental’ force, depending on the net force.
I would appreciate help in understanding the duality (?) (or multiplicity) of force. Is duality or multiplicity a fundamental truth (behavior) of force? What is the real nature of force?

Thanks for your comment Rob Z - and yes i think it presents an opportunity to get beyond ideological hang ups and start trying to find how best to utilize, what are now seen to be, opposing viewpoints. For instance we should be able to ascertain how best to utilize conservative and liberal approaches to things i.e., be conservative about the things that work and seek appropriate change for the things that don't instead of installing across the board conservatism or liberalism according to the swing of the pendulum. Such a prospect would require changing the whole configuration of our social systems which at present encourage ideological contentiousness to the extreme.

The comaparison between political
vews and the scientific approach was
an excellant way of explaining the
intrinsict dynamic of our opposing views.
It was an article that would make sense to anyone, regardless of ideal.

I think it is pretty obvious, Damselfly, that there is an overwhelming universal preponderance for maintaining an orderly existence for ourselves. And I would be interested to know just who it is that is habitually functioning in extreme chaos.

If we all have an innate predisposition to orderliness then how can some of us live and function in extreme disorder and chaos?

Q - How is authentic discourse relevant to the wild speculations about what lead up to the big bang?
A - I am coming at a GUT from a different perspective and theorizing about how it might work. It is authentic discourse in the sense that I am extrapolating from known science and attempting a reverse engineering project to complete the whole picture. That my scenario leading up to the big bang may have no validity in reality is of no consequence to the validity of the worldview that I present on this side of that initial event.
For myself I find it interesting, to say the least, to imagine how the universe may have come about with respect to the Attraction/Repulsion dynamic that is so prevalent in its workings. Taking into account the constant vibration of quantum particles I wonder if that might be due to an A/R dynamic present in themselves.
Anyway, to further examine this idea about A/R energy prior to the big bang let’s say that the energy for the most part is in a low state of activity with the A/R confined to tiny increments. Attraction and repulsion is exchanged at one point and another. That is, one point can be either a force for attraction or repulsion in cadence with other points causing an ongoing vibration throughout the energy itself. Let’s say that it’s all very orderly and exact but, of course, glitches can occur.
Picture, if you will, two points in the overall energy. The points are not moving but are stationary pulses of intermittent attraction and repulsion. (Note: Time is seen here as the transformation of energy from one state to another.) Say there is a sudden glitch where two points of repulsion become aligned. An enormous amount of disoriented surrounding energy rushes in to seal the gap. It is momentarily compressed into the vacuum created by the force of repulsion and then expands carried off by the increasing force of repulsion.
The frenzied imbroglio of disorder in the expanding energy heats up as a consequence of its initial compression and crystallizes as it cools in the ensuing expansion and particularization.
This could also be depicted as one point of energy stalling in its repulsive mode and causing the ensuing big bang effect in that manner.
